The Oklahoma Cattleman’s Association concluded their summer conference with a banquet for the 2017 Top 10 Oklahoma Junior Cattleman’s Association or OJCA on July 22 in Norman.

Frederick resident Tenley Mefford made the top 10 with points collected from the Tulsa State Fair show and the Oklahoma Youth Expo or OYE summer preview show held in Chickasha earlier this year.

Tenley said she was so excited to have been in the top 10 for Oklahoma steer exhibitors.

“It was such an honor to be included with the other hard working junior cattleman,” Mefford said. “I’d like to thank my dad, mom and my sister, Timber, because all of what we do is a family project. I couldn’t have done so well if it weren’t for Collins Cattle, Colby and Shellie Collins and Brelan Brookshire. I’m looking forward to the coming show season!”

Mefford’s next show will be at the Tillman County Fair in September.
