Former Frederick resident found dead

OSBI special agents are reportedly investigating the death of a Lawton man in Frederick.

A Farmers Co-Op employee found 73-year-old Curtis Thompson’s body in a drainage ditch at 218 S. Seventh St. just after 10 a.m. Aug. 8.

Thompson was last seen Saturday night in Frederick where he was attending reunions. Thompson was living in Lawton but grew up in Frederick.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. OSBI agents will continue to gather information and possible evidence in his death.

According to Frederick Police Chief Joel Neely, the police currently have no further information about the events surrounding the death of Thompson.

Jessica Brown, with the OSBI Public Information Office said they are still waiting on the Medical Examiner’s report.
