Homecoming week for Frederick High School is scheduled for Sept. 11-15.

President of the Frederick High School Student Council Maggie Blankenship would like to invite the community to participate in spirit days this year.

“Not only is it Homecoming week, but Win-Win Week as well,” Blankenship said. “The FHS Student Council encourages the community to participate in the spirit days this year. Each day we will dress in a different color to represent different types of cancer.”

* Monday – wear orange for Leukemia awareness,

* Tuesday – wear purple for all cancer awareness,

* Wednesday – wear pink for breast cancer awareness.

* Thursday – wear gold for all childhood cancer awareness, and

* Friday – wear black for melanoma awareness.

The FHS Student Council will also be selling raffle tickets at the homecoming game Sept. 15.

“We will be raffling off a Pierce 45 quart cooler that comes with a cutting board, metal basket and a cup holder,” Blankenship said. “The tickets will be $5 each. All proceeds from the raffle will go to the Stephenson Cancer Center. The cooler was donated by Box, Inc. If anyone would like to donate towards the Stephenson Cancer Center, they can be brought to BancFirst or the High School.”

To participate in the 2017 Homecoming Parade call the Frederick High School Office at 580-335-5521.
