And I call upon the officials of the Government, and upon the people of the United States, to observe the day by displaying the flag of the United States on public buildings and by meeting together for such prayers and such ceremonies as may seem to them appropriate.”

CDC advises everyone to not eat pre-cut cantaloupes if brand of cantaloupes is unknown

A CDC food safety alert regarding an outbreak of Salmonella infections linked to cantaloupes has been updated: https://www.cdc.gov/salmonella/ sundsvall-11-23/index. html Key Points: • Since the last update on November 24, 2023, an additional 18 people infected with this outbreak strain of Salmonella have been reported from two additional states, resulting in a total case count of 117 people from 34 states.
