All Oklahoma poultry producers and backyard flock owners should remain alert and practice strict biosecurity protocols to prevent Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza. The virus has been reported in backyard poultry flocks in Carter, Wagoner and Grady counties and a domestic swan in Oklahoma County.

Fall foliage walks oered at Wichita Mountains Wildlife Reguge

The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and the Friends of the Wichitas will be conducting interpretive “Fall Foliage Walks” on Saturday, November 18 and 25, 2023, at 10:00 am. Reservations are required and are taken by phone or in person on a firstcome, first-served basis beginning on Monday, November 6, 2023.
Students make it to the second round of All-State Choir auditions

The first round of All-State Choir auditions have been completed. Students selected from Frederick Public Schools are Caydence Crawford, Sadie Jensen, Karli Olsen, Aiden Robinson, Cierra Collins, Huntley Kreutziger, Jaiden Sainz, Collier Johnson, Taytum Cole Rogans, Bella Flores, Deundre Williams, Reilly Guill, and Karagyn Snodgrass.
Orr earns honor at OSU

Paige Orr, a graduate of Frederick High School, is a junior at Oklahoma State University. She was accepted into the Honors College at OSU as a Freshman. She recently completed 18 honors credits which made her eligible for the General Honors Award in September.
