The University of Central Oklahoma will host New Broncho Orientation for new students from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., April 8, 17 and 22; May 1, 15 and 23; June 18 and 26; and July 2, 10, 17, 24 and 29, on Central’s campus.
The Southwest Pride Barbershop Chorus is scheduled to present their 60th Anniversary Show, “The Great Barbershop Bake-Off,” at 7:30 p.m. Friday March 22, 2024, and Saturday March 23, 2024, at 2 p.m. at McMahon Auditorium in Lawton.
A new exhibit at the Oklahoma History Center Museum opens on Saturday, March 30, in the ONEOK, Inc. Gallery on the first floor. “Into the Mirror” will present a view of Indigenous people from the perspective of Indigenous artists. It challenges concepts and allows the artists’ work to speak for itself. A special members-only reception will be held on opening day at 1 p.m. in the Chesapeake Event Center. It will include a lecture by Leon Natker, director of the Oklahoma History Center Museum and curator of this new exhibit. Members should RSVP online due to limited space.
The Frederick Bombers Robotics teams recently competed at the State competition. Four teams were chosen to compete in the semi-finals and both Frederick teams were chosen. This is the 10th season that the Frederick Bombers Robotics teams have competed at State, and the fourth time that one of those teams has made it to the Worlds competition.
