Rough start to Bomber Baseball season

Body
The2024FrederickBomber baseball season is underway, and it’s been a tough start for the crew. Bombers have lost 4 of their first 5 games. Frederick pitching faces difficult challenges with not a lot of depth. Dalton Wells has risen to be the ace on the staff. He got the first win of the season against Velma Alma on March 7. The bats have been hit and miss. There are three Bombers who are hitting .500 or better. Kellan Hicks, Dalton Wells, and Tyler Wood, are all off to a murderous beginning with the sticks. While the Bombers are averaging more than 5 runs per game, they have allowed an average of 13 runs per game versus opponents. Much of the opponents run production has been due to faulty defense as well. All things the Bombers can improve on and remedy. Coming from winter sports to spring sports is always difficult in the early going. Most players come right from one sport to the next with very little practice. Once the season begins, there is very limited practice time as well.
