Come and enjoy An Evening with the Music of John Denver at Frederick’s Ramona Theatre on Friday, April 21 at 7 p.m. It will be a fun and nostalgic show with songs made popular by one of the greatest musical artists of the 1970s and 80s.
This live performance, a tribute to the music of John Denver, will feature The Joel Weaver Trio and is guaranteed to bring the magic of John Denver’s music back to current lovers or reveal it to first-time listeners. This is not an impersonation; Joel is a fan that grew up with John Denver’s music and put his and others’ musical chops together to pay homage to John Denver’s work. Trio members, Joel Weaver, Brad Davis, and Craig Langford, are all singers, songwriters, and musicians that met and worked together in Nashville. Collectively, they have performed across the nation and around the world, in concerts, dances, video, TV, radio and movies with artists including Reba McEntire, Marty Stuart, Sam Bush, ZZ Top, George Strait, John Prine, Willie Nelson, Billy Bob Thornton and Earl Scruggs.
This family-friendly show will be hosted by the Frederick Arts & Humanities Council. Tickets are $20.00 each and may be purchased from any FAHC Board Member, at the door or online at www.ramonatheatre.com/upcoming-events. Proceeds from the event will be used for flood damage repairs at the historic Ramona Theatre. For more information, contact Jessica at 580-305-0779 or Karen at 580-305-5287.
