Family Requiem Mass for Ernestina "Tina" Ramirez, 84 of Frederick, is scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, at St. Helen Catholic Church with Rev. Father Joseph David officiating.  Burial is set to follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home.  Ms. Ramirez passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at Memorial Nursing Center in Frederick.

Ernestina Ramirez was born Nov. 1, 1937, in Mercedes, Texas to Francisco and Francisca (Perez) Hernandez.  She attended Mercedes Public Schools. On April 25, 1960, she and Adelaido Ramirez were united in marriage in Edinburg, Texas. Tina was a wonderful cook and fed everyone who walked in her door, especially her grandchildren; no one went away hungry.  The families’ favorite by far was her rice.  She enjoyed working in the yard and pulling every weed in sight.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.  Her family was her biggest treasure.  Tina was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Frederick.

She is survived by one son, Monico Ramirez of Florida; four daughters, Amy Reyes of Florida, Elaine Ramirez of Oklahoma, Glenda Martinez of Oklahoma, and Emily Ramirez of Texas; two brothers, Jose Hernandez and Juan Jose Hernandez; three sisters, Evangelina Carmona, Emma Delafuente, and Irma Hernandez; 18 grandchildren, Steven Reyes, Irena Reyes, Alicia Reyes, Vincent Reyes, Ramiro Reyes, Angela Reyes, Augustin Reyes, Michael Rubio, Richard Rubio, Brandon Rubio, Jimmy Martinez, Jr., Brenda Fox, Connie Jackson, Jessica Rivera, Cathy Rivera, Monica Rivera, Breanna Ramirez and Monico Ramirez, Jr.; thirty-seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Francisca Hernandez; her husband, Adelaido Ramirez; and three siblings, Jose Alberto Hernandez, Mario Hernandez and Eliazar Hernandez.

Rosary service was scheduled for 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel.
