Food bank receives $5,000 donation

Local woman Lori Varner applied for a $5,000 grant from The America’s Famers Grow Communities program sponsored by Bayer Fund. The grants give $5,000 to a variety of rural nonprofits, education efforts, and rural initiatives. Since 2010, America’s Farmers has awarded more than $63 million to organizations across rural America. From 3D printers and STEM education for small schools, to funding food banks in underserved areas, the America’s Farmers programs help lift up and support rural communities, one grant at a time.
