Grape Hyacinth:
Body
The grape hyacinth is a common plant – or weed depending on who you ask - found in Oklahoma but there is some dissention because some see the purple flower as nothing more than a weed to get rid of but others see it as a flower that they enjoy having in their gardens. When asked if it would be fair to classify the grape hyacinth as the “bluebonnet of Oklahoma,” OSU Extension Specialist, Consumer Horticulture David Hillock said he wouldn’t say that was quite accurate.
