Cameron University Department of Art, Music and Theatre Arts to hold auditions for music scholarships

The Cameron University Department of Art, Music and Theatre Arts will host scholarship auditions for high school musicians on Saturday, March 2. Auditions will take place in the McCutcheon Recital Hall. Voice, band, orchestra and jazz band students are welcome to audition and must reserve a time by calling 580581-2346.

CU Theatre Arts program to present “Ride the Cyclone”

The Cameron University Department of Art, Music, and Theatre Arts will continue its 2023-24 “Season of Chaos, Compassion and Care” with the musical “Ride the Cyclone.” The production will be presented in the University Theatre from Thursday, February 22 through Sunday, February 25. The curtain goes up on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 2 p.m.

I have a confession!

just can’t take it no more, I’ve somethin’ to get off my chest! Some of y’all may have heard me share somethin’ like this before. I just have to tell you. I can’t go on, I can’t tell another story, I can’t share from the Book until I do. It’s time I cowboy up and confess somethin’ to y’all. I have an addiction. Yep, this addiction has affected my life in ways that I’m sure many just don’t comprehend. Now, I know, some of you are thinking, “I knew it, “That feller done went and got himself hooked on somethun.” Yep, none of us are above it. We’re all human. And this addiction escalated to an even higher level about 28 years ago.

Sec. Arthur represents Oklahoma at National Agriculture Policy Conference

Oklahoma Secretary of Agriculture Blayne Arthur is back in Oklahoma following a productive week at the NASDA 2024 Winter Policy Conference in Washington, D.C. Arthur, who is the President of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture, led meetings and discussions about agricultural policies that impact Oklahomans, as well as the rest of the United States.
