The Oklahoma State Department of Education has been awarded a nearly $10 million competitive grant from the United States Department of Education Rehabilitation Services Administration to support increased efforts in partnership to provide, improve, and expand services that address the transition needs of Oklahoma youth with disabilities.

The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences researcher part of study leading to new treatment for rare cancer

OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences researcher Abdul Rafeh Naqash, M.D., serves as co-author of a study published recently in the New England Journal of Medicine that details the success of a newly approved drug for treating a rare form of sarcoma. The drug is a type of immunotherapy, which prompts the body’s immune system to recognize and fight cancer cells.

USAO to celebrate 50 years of Drover athletics during 2023 homecoming weekend

The University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma invites all alumni to celebrate 50 years of Drover Athletics Nov. 3-5 during the 2023 homecoming weekend. This year’s celebration will honor athletes throughout the university’s history. The weekend will feature special guests including Coach John Hudson and other members of the first men’s basketball team, the 50th anniversary of the Class of 1973, and all other members of the USAO family.
