A Wake Service and Visitation will be held Monday, January 22, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Glover passed away at his home in Frederick, on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

Thomas Eugene Glover was born on November 12, 1956, in Peoria, Illinois, to Chester Ray and Elma May Royer (Bowman) Glover. He received his education through Peoria Public Schools, graduating from high school with the Class of 1974. Thomas then attended and graduated from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. Soon after graduation, Tom enlisted in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged from the Army at the post at Fort Sill - Lawton, after twenty years of service. He remained in the Lawton area, working as a civilian on base, teaching and assisting with tech support for computer operations. Tom enjoyed his time in the service.

In 2007, Tom met Barbara Mason. They were married on November 1, in Wichita Falls, Texas. They spent the next sixteen years together, combining their families. Tom and Barbara would spend their Saturdays going to yard sales, spending time at the casinos, or watching sports. He was a fan of the University of Oklahoma and whatever the sport was at the time of year, football, basketball, baseball, or softball. During the week, he had his routine, too. If it was 11:00 a.m., Tom was watching “The Young and The Restless”. He liked all the “judge” shows, and believe it or not, he enjoyed those ghost hunting shows. He could also spend hours playing solitaire.

Tom enjoyed life! He enjoyed music and was especially a fan of the bands Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC, Fleetwood Mac. But he also learned to appreciate Country Music performers such as Lonestar and Rascal Flatts. For Tom and Barbara’s wedding, they played an AC/DC song and “God Blessed the Broken Road” performed by Rascal Flatts. In addition to his love of music, Tom had a love of cooking. He was a great cook. One of his best family-pleasers was his Old-Fashioned Goulash.

Tom was also known for having the patience of a saint. And, he had a smile that would light up a room! His favorite Bible verse was John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting Life.”

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; his four children, Tommy Glover, Kevin Lawrence, Tiffany Glover, and Dylan Glover; two stepsons, Thomas Mason and Willie Mason; brother, Michael Glover, and a sister, Linda Brown; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Elma Glover; and a brother, Gary Glover.
